THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON – The highly anticipated sequel to last year’s box-office smash TWILIGHT is the subject of a question-and-answer session featuring surprise members of the cast. In anticipation of being one of the convention’s most talked-about events, the panel will also thrill the crowd with a first look at never-before-seen footage from the film. With THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) and Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) return in a captivating new chapter of the action epic that has enthralled audiences around the world.

Special Evening TWILIGHT Screenings
Summit is also proud to present “The Twilight Experience,” a one-night-only special theatrical re-release of global sensation TWILIGHT, featuring an introduction by cast members.

Screening tickets are $10 and can only be purchased online at Fandango (www.fandango.com) and picked up at the theater prior to the event. Multiple staggered showings of TWILIGHT will take place at the Pacific Gaslamp 15. Doors open at 5:30 and fans with tickets will be admitted on a first-come, first-seated basis. The Pacific Gaslamp 15 is located at 701 5th Ave., just a few blocks from the Convention Center. Two tickets per person limit.

Photo Booth, Giveaways and More!
Throughout the convention, visitors to the Summit Entertainment booth in the Grand Hall will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken in an exclusive THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON photo booth and collect special edition trading cards for the film. They can also meet the CG-animated versions of classic characters brought to new life in ASTRO BOY. With each spin of the prize wheel, lucky visitors will win promotional giveaways or exclusive prizes.

MTV reports, “‘New Moon’ (Thursday at 1:45 p.m., Hall H) — As anyone who owns the DVD has seen in the bonus features, “Twilight” mania erupted last year at Comic-Con, as the seemingly little-known film inspired die-hards to line up in record numbers. Now, San Diego is ready for ‘New Moon’ mania, and our own Hollywood Crush will even be embedding a reporter to camp out with the Twilighters, providing up-to-the-minute experiences while waiting in line. As your home for all things ‘Twilight,’ you can trust MTV to be all over this panel like Jasper Hale on Bella’s bloody finger. The cast of ‘Astro Boy’ and ‘Sorority Row’ will also be participating in the panel, answering such probing questions as “When will Robert Pattinson walk onstage?’”

TL Daily reports, “There also seems to be a little confusion about whether ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon‘ will have more than one ‘premiere.’ Last year Twilight had fundraiser premieres and THE premiere in Los Angeles. The writer said he will try to clear this up in his next article.”

According to the Alexa Chung schedule, Ashley Greene is scheduled to make an appearance!

“7.16.09 | Thursday Entourage star Adrian Grenier will help Alexa close out the week, along with Ashley Greene, a Kid Cudi performance and a little bit of ‘What’s Happening’ with Iliza Schlesinger.”

Less than 24 hours after announcing it’s Thursday panel Comic-Con has announced a big switch.  Perhaps fearing the “Twilight” faithful would go manic if they had to wait too long in Hall H (after no doubt camping out all night), Summit Entertainment has smartly switched Thursday preview slots with 20th Century Fox.

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” panel will now debut at 1:45 PM and will be followed by James Cameron’s 3D “Avatar” preview at 3:00 PM.

The Twilight Lexicon reports, “Twilight Series Theories is organizing the event which will feature fansite operators from Imprint/Twilight Source, Twilight Moms, Cullen Boys Anonymous, Twilighters Anonymous, and His Golden Eyes .”

Special Guests will be attending, we will update you as soon as we get more details.

The small print on the poster reads: “You must have a wristband to attend this event. Beginning at 10:00 AM on the day of the event, free wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Special guests will sign one Twilight-related item–purchased at the store–as time permits. Date and time subject to change. Contact the store for details and event guidelines or go to Borders.com.”

Knoxville.com news reports, “The dawn of a new ‘Twilight’ will bring star power to Knoxville this November when ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon,’ the sequel to the 2008 breakout film ‘Twilight,’ is premiered at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek in advance of its scheduled Nov. 20 release.”

They also stated, “Although confirmation of the Knoxville premiere of the movie is set, several key details are yet to be determined, including ticket prices, just which star or stars of the movie will come to town, and even the date of the event.”

It is unknown whether or not there will be a premiere in Los Angeles, but this premiere event will be raising money for charity.

RadarOnline reports, “Twilight was honored at the 36th Vision Awards in Beverly Hills Saturday night and RadarOnline.com reporter Alexis Tereszcuk had the chance to catch up with some of the gorgeous stars from the movie.  Ashley Greene, Billy Burke and Christian Serratos all walked the red carpet while Taylor Lautner kept a low profile and presented an award at the dinner.”
