Carter Burwell Not Composing Music Score For New Moon Movie
According to the FAQ on Carter Burwell’s website, Carter Burwell is not signed up to compose the musical score for the New Moon movie.
“Will you work on the sequels to Twilight?
As I understand it, the director of New Moon, Chris Weitz, has hired Alexandre Desplat to composer the music for the film. Desplat composed the music for Weitz’ earlier film The Golden Compass. I don’t know if they’ll use any of my themes from Twilight, such as “Bella’s Lullaby”.”

Jonas Brothers Blown Away By Twilight
Access Hollywood reports, ““Twilight” blew up at the box office and made an impression last week with its DVD release, but the Jonas Brothers revealed they only just caught the vampire film.
“I just recently saw the first one, actually,” Kevin Jonas told Access Hollywood at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. “I watched it on the plane and it was really good. I was blown away.”
In February, the brothers told MTV it would be “really cool” to be on the soundtrack of “New Moon,” the “Twilight” sequel – though they admitted to not having seen the first film at the time. According to Kevin, they’d still like to be involved. “Who knows,” he told Access. “If they ask us, why not?””

Demi Lovato Want To Sing On New Moon Movie Soundtrack
“The 16-year-old Twilighter and “Sonny With a Chance” star let it slip to MTV News that she might be a fan of Bella’s werewolf pal Jacob (played in the movie by Taylor Lautner). “Edward Cullen — I would write a love song to him,” the singer/actress said, before giddily adding, “Or Jacob Black!”
Lovato also said she’d love the chance to participate in any way possible in “New Moon,” the movie’s hotly anticipated sequel, though she’s sure being on the soundtrack is her best bet. “I think it’d be cool to be in the soundtrack,” she told MTV News. “Maybe, but … it’s like anything that would happen that’d be awesome. I don’t know if I’d make a good vampire or a good werewolf.”"
Jonas Brothers On New Moon Movie Soundtrack?

“”The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great,” Nick Jonas said when we caught up with him and his brothers Monday, revealing that the trio are fans of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire franchise and would be willing to write a song for the “New Moon” soundtrack. “It would be really cool.” “That would be really cool,” agreed Joe and Kevin.” Check out the article here.
New Moon Soundtrack Scoop
“First, some background. When it comes to Twilight’s soundtrack, you may credit legendary music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, who has also curated the music for TV shows The OC, Roswell, Chuck, Mad Men and Without a Trace. Patsavas is also on board to supervise the sound for New Moon. Now the gossip…
The new director, Chris Weitz, has been sending out signals that he may be open to a more experimental soundtrack than his predecessor. That could mean songs that sparkle even more than the movie’s vampires when they get caught in the sun.
“I think that might be the way it’s going,” says Marisa Baldi, West Coast partner for Zync, a music brokerage that funneled two songs onto the Twilight soundtrack. “I get the vibe that the guy is a little more into being surprised…everything is really open, and he wants to hear a lot of cool music.”"

Perry Ferrell Eager To Record For New Moon Soundtrack
“And as ‘New Moon’ rumors continue to swirl around, Farrell told us that he and Etty are both ‘Twilight’ fans and would love to write a song for the sequel — as long as the new director wants him. ‘That would be great,’ the Lollapalooza founder said. ‘I have read excerpts from [the 'Twilight' books], and Etty has read the entire series.’” Check out the MTV article here.
Also check out a sneak peek of Perry Ferrell’a music video for his song on the Twilight movie soundtrack, ‘Go All the Way (Into the Twilight)’. (“Although Twilighters probably know the song’s lyrics by heart at this point, wait until they get a load of this sensual clip, which has the duo dragging the vampire tale into decidedly NC-17 territory.”)
